My check engine light is on. AutoZone OT If I know the code is revised and describe:
Cross-OEM number: P0401

What should I do now? I am not familiar with car parts. Am I obligated to take it to the dealer or an auto repair shop?

P0401 is a small leak is a problem. simple repairs can be very complex - or perhaps really. is the most common cause is a gas cap loose or worn seal? If you want to try a cheap solution to replace the gas cap and make sure the surface is O-ring seals the filler neck. Auto Zone, the code clearly, Wil, do not immediately disappear. This could be a carbon canister - but it is more expensive - from small and what did you lose? the price for a gas cap ... Good Luck Sparkbolt

Is a good memory for the diagnosis and repair.

The last thing you need to do is follow the advice of those who say that the bell and a code for the EGR rate is certainly not all a bad EGR valve and the principle of exchange of nothing.

After I was diagnosed and is fixed, I can say that the EGR valve have at my age, rangers are not replaced.
